Diagram 1 – Overview of Roles and Responsibilities

Diagram 1 provides an overview of Roles and Responsibilities within a department for the management of Delegated Authorities.

Box 1 depicts the Minister and Deputy head responsibility as approving the delegation instrument.
Box 2 depicts that the CFO and Corporate Services Branch responsibilities are to create and maintain the Delegation Instrument as well as the policies and procedures for the implementation of Delegated Authorities.
Box 3 depicts the responsibilities for Officials with Delegated Authority as exercising delegated authority in accordance with the delegation instrument and maintaining certification required to exercise delegated authorities.
