In 1963, sewer systems averaged just under 17 years old. Bridges were just over 16 years old. Wastewater treatment assets averaged a little over 16 years old. Roads and highways averaged under 15 years old.

In 2003, the graph shows that, on average, bridges were the oldest infrastructure assets at over 23 years old. Wastewater treatment assets are about 19 years old. Sewer systems are 18 years old. Roads and highways are over 16 years old.
