kidfrastructure

The word infrastructure is a big one, but it has to be! It describes many of the things that make your community work.

You can see infrastructure all around you. The roads, sidewalks, bridges, libraries, arenas and parks you use every day are all a part of the infrastructure in your neighbourhood. But infrastructure also includes things you can't see because they are hidden underground, like water pipes and sewer systems. Think of infrastructure as the building blocks of your community.

Above or below ground, infrastructure exists all across Canada. If you took a bath, drank a glass of water, visited a community centre, or went for a walk or bike ride today, infrastructure played a role.

Can you guess the next time you'll be using Canada's infrastructure?
