Infrastructure Canada's Public Engagement

This consultation is now closed.

The Government of Canada's public engagement on the development of Phase 2 of the infrastructure plan took place between July 20 and September 16, 2016. The feedback activities that were available during this period are no longer active. We would like to thank everyone who participated.

A report summarizing the feedback we received will be available shortly.

In May 2016, the Government of Canada launched an infrastructure plan to invest more than $120 billion over the next 10 years, which would be delivered in two phases.  As outlined in Minister Sohi’s mandate letter, this new plan would be developed collaboratively, in part through constructive dialogue with Canadians and stakeholders.

Throughout the entire country, from every province and every territory, Canadians identified the areas of infrastructure investment that are important to them. Engaging with the public on infrastructure has taught us more about the opportunities, challenges and priorities of Canadians and of communities across Canada.
