What We Invest In

Target Funding by Major Category* - text description

Pie chart describing the percentage of targeted funding by major funding category (including the Building Canada Fund - Major Infrastructure Component, Communities Component, Infrastructure Stimulus Fund and the Green Infrastructure Fund). 35% of funding is targeted at transportation infrastructure for a total of 2,253 projects. 18% of funding is targeted at green infrastructure, including wastewater infrastructure, for a total of 1,407 projects. 22% of funding is targeted at public transit infrastructure for a total of 107 projects. 8% of funding is targeted at sports and recreation infrastructure for a total of 666 projects. 7% of funding is targeted at drinking water infrastructure for a total of 816 projects. 6% of funding is targeted at culture and tourism infrastructure for a total of 233 projects. Finally, 4% of funding is targeted at other infrastructure for a total of 248 projects.
