The construction, upgrade or expansion of more than 180 cultural and recreational facilities, providing more places for Canadians to nurture common bonds of understanding and friendship as well as participate in sports and leisure activities.

Green Infrastructure

Managing storm water and reducing the risk of floods
475 projects aimed at better managing storm water or reducing the risk of floods, which will better protect the lives and property of Canadians from the impacts of climate change.

More than 1,200 clean water and wastewater systems built or repaired
More than 1,200 clean water and wastewater systems built or repaired, improving the health of both our waterways and Canadians served by those waterways.

Trade and Transport

Repairs and upgrades of more than 2,000 kilometres of roads and highways
The repair and upgrade of more than 2,000 kilometres of roads and highways – the equivalent of repaving every kilometre of highway between Ottawa, Ontario and Saint John, New Brunswick.

More than 170 kilometres of new highway
The construction of more than 170 kilometres of new highway – enough to connect Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island with Moncton, New Brunswick.

More than 70 new bridges
The construction of more than 70 new bridges, which improve the safety and efficiency of the nations transportation system.

Gordie Howe International Bridge
Full construction began in October 2018.

New Champlain Bridge
Set to open to traffic no later than June 2019.
