Construction progressing well on the Greater Nanaimo Pollution Control Centre

The Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities; Doug Routley, MLA for Nanaimo-North Cowichan; and Bill Veenhof, Chair of the Regional District of Nanaimo, were in Nanaimo to visit the Greater Nanaimo Pollution Control Centre project site and learn about the features of the facility.

Site selected for new Cowichan Valley transit operations and maintenance facility

The governments of Canada and British Columbia, along with the Cowichan Valley Regional District and BC Transit announced that a site has been selected for the new BC Transit operations and maintenance facility in the Cowichan Valley, in the Koksilah Industrial Park at the corner of Polkey Road and Boal Road. The proposed new building will include safety features to support the future introduction of compressed natural gas (CNG) technology.
